Daily routine
1. Take the grill out and rinse it in lukewarm water. 2. Brush inside and out with a soft toothbrush and a drop of mild, unscented dish soap. 3. Rinse thoroughly. 4. Dry with a lint-free cloth and let it air-dry fully. 5. Store it in its case.
Brush and floss your own teeth before putting the grill back in.
What to avoid
Toothpaste is abrasive and dulls polished metal. Bleach, alcohol-heavy mouthwash and harsh chemicals can discolor metal and loosen stones. Do not boil your grill or put it in an ultrasonic cleaner if it has stones, unless we have told you that setting is ultrasonic-safe.
Silver in Miami humidity
Sterling silver reacts with sulfur in the air, and humidity speeds it up. Keep silver dry and in a closed case, and use a silver polishing cloth when it starts to look warm or gray. If it gets heavily tarnished, bring it in and we will re-polish it.
Gold and iced pieces
Solid gold does not tarnish, but it can scratch. A jewelry polishing cloth keeps the shine. For iced pieces, use a very soft brush to clear the area behind the stones, and check stones now and then. If one feels loose, stop wearing the piece and let us tighten it.
